FUN Company is the 2nd generation of LEINN International. Along with a team of 14 entrepreneurs of different nationalities (Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Costa Rican, Dutch and American) they created a company called Fun Company in Shanghai. At FUN Company, they develop projects related to their passions and current world trends. These projects are divided into four main lines: Digital Marketing, Product Development, Organization of Events, and Circular Economy.

From Shanghai, they have developed their company in Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Africa, the United States, and, now, Germany.

FUN Team

Quarantine isn’t fun but they try to be — this is a story of multilocation!

We would like to introduce you to one of our team companies, Fun, in LEINN International bachelor’s degree. “Fun Company” has been multi-located a number of times during the last 3 years. Sometimes, they’ve been split in different countries with up to 15 hours of time difference and, at times, for months in a row. Some intense stuff.

In late February, they had to make a tough decision just a month after having arrived in South Korea from China and having been in multilocation from October to December: a part of the team would travel to Berlin, Germany and the other would stay in Seoul, the Korean capital.

Moving in ’n’ out has become a new pass time activity.

The struggle is real. Berlin Team had big difficulties to find a place to stay and a place to work when landing in Europe as the situation was starting to get worse in the old continent. It was until two months ago that the team in the West settled down.

Remote Work

Creating new products online: GFV (Go For Visual)

Go For Visual is a Visual Thinking Consulting company. GFV makes complex ideas easy to understand. To do this, they use visual thinking methodology, generating tools, content, and processes that help companies & startups reach their goals. As visual facilitators, they have learned fast to get adapted into virtual facilitation, and during the last month, they have run a Design Sprint with an interdisciplinary team that gave birth to Olombo, a platform that connects expert facilitators with companies in few clicks.

Most of their team dynamics have had to be adapted to the online environment. They currently have one team meeting a week on Thursdays and restarted using online task organizers. Slack continues to be the base, though, in which they have an open channel where people can talk to them and friends of the team openly. Ideation processes with outsiders have also been held online.

Out of experience, there are some apps they recommend for online collaboration!

As well, implementing methodologies like SCRUM has helped them keep track of the work during the last weeks. Give it a try with your team!

Quarantine = Knowledge!
